To Teach is to Initiate.

The teacher is one who dispells darkness, the darkness of the unknown, for when one seeks out the teacher, one is seeking to know.

A teacher is one who has walked a path either under the guidance of their own teachers, or forged of their own seeking. They come to know the terrain; where the obstacles lie, where the shortcuts are, where to stop and take in the beauty, and where to keep going when it gets hard.

A teacher simply turns around and says, "My dear, let me take your hand and show you the way".

To be a teacher is a sacred role that has kept society, culture and wisdom alive since the dawn of humanity.
